Well, at DH's behest, we have thrown Oz back into the mix. If we are calculating correctly, DH will definitely be offered a visa, if my health issues don't get in the way. Ugh.
So of course that means more book buying and more research. It is good that I am the most anal researcher on the planet. Law school was good for something!
I had a dream that I was working at a firm in NZ as a legal researcher (not practicing, just doing research). Even in the dream I realized I really had probably forgotten how to even get started!
So the two cities DH is open to are Sydney and Melbourne. I could think of worse places to live. But I must admit the remoteness of New Zealand still holds a strong appeal to me. I am weird that way, I guess. It is that remoteness that is making J lean towards Australia.
Finding a great forum on emigrating to Australia, which I found so easily for New Zealand, has proven tricky!
Also, I tried to see if I could order my transcript online from Post.Harvard.edu, but no such luck. Still have to try UC, Hastings. I guess it is a good thing I paid off those loans 5 years ago.
This is going to be a lot of work. On the other hand, we will be leaving a lot of our possessions behind (electronics, furniture, a ton of heavy books). We can try to be minimalists, at least for a while!
I think we can do it. I hope so.
